About the Program
Welcome Message
Welcome to the Wayne State University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Nurse Anesthesia Program. The Nurse Anesthesia Program in the College of Health Sciences is one of 5 programs in Michigan. There are approximately 108 Nurse Anesthesia Programs with locations in various states throughout the 50 states in the country. Our applicants are from the Detroit Metropolitan area, the Lower Peninsula in Michigan, and from Toledo Ohio. The career of Nurse Anesthesia is very challenging as it activates all the Domains of Learning that are essential for the delivery of quality and safe anesthesia practice by Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA). The rewards of a career in Nurse Anesthesia are well worth the challenges of the professional goals.
