Basic Radiation Safety Training

5425 Woodward
Basic radiation safety training is required for all employees using radioactive materials in the laboratory. The lecture is held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at 5425 Woodward, Suite 300. The following Monday from 1 to 2:30 p.m., all training attendees must take and pass a written Radiological Health Exam at the same location. Students attending this training this session should discuss with their PI the radioactive materials they will be working with prior to attending the training. All employees and students who continue to use radioactive materials in the laboratory and have taken basic radiation safety training are required annually to take an online refresher course. To access the refresher, visit http://www.oehs.wayne.edu/BRSC_Refresher/radtraining.php.   Registration is required for training sessions.
