Post-Masters Certificate In Industrial Toxicology
This graduate certificate is designed to provide formal graduate level instruction in industrial toxicology to individuals with a Masters or Ph.D. degree in industrial hygiene, general toxicology, occupational medicine or related health science fields from an accredited university.
Admission Requirements:
A MS, MPH, or Ph.D. degree with a graduate honor point average (HPA) equal to or greater than 3 will be required for admission. This requirement may be waved in situations where an evidence of long standing experience in toxicology or a related field satisfies the academic requirements. In addition, candidates should have had a course in the principles of toxicology at the graduate level. An applicant lacking any of the above prerequisites will not be admitted into the program. The GRE is not required for admission into this post-masters certificate program, but a statement of objectives and work experience will be required.
Certificate Requirements:
The minimum numbers of credits required for this Graduate Certificate is 14. The curriculum consists of 6 credit hours of required core courses that provide the base for the graduate certificate program. This leaves a minimum of 8 credit hours of electives that are needed to complete the program. In those cases where a student has already completed a required course as part of their Masters degree program, a substitute elective course will need to be chosen to ensure a minimum of 14 credit hours.
