2.    Appointments are normally continuous.  All voluntary faculties serve at the pleasure of the president and are subject to biannual review.*

3.    I-9s are not required.

4.    Although EEO approval is not required, these figures are reported to the Board of Governors and you should be fully aware of EEO considerations.

*Biannual Reviews

Every voluntary faculty member is subject to biannual reviews.  All Reviews will be due on July 1.  Those employees hired between July and February 1 will have their first review in slightly more than two years.  You will be notified when your reviews are due.  They should be sent to Employment Services Center, which will log and then sent to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for signature.  Failure to complete these reviews may result, at the Vice President for Academic Affair’s discretion, in the appointment being terminated.  Although there is no required form, a suggested one is attached.  In addition to the evaluation, please be sure the evaluation includes name, social security number and next review date.

VOLUNTEER FACULTY PRIVILEGES

Voluntary faculty are not entitled to pay, but they do receive certain privileges.  These are not contractual rights and the University has the right to withdraw or change any or all of them.  The following are privileges that are allowed:

1.    Adjunct Faculty (Volunteers) are entitled to receive what is known as an Auxiliary One Card.

2.    Parking Privileges (Contact the College Business Office, 577-1576) Guest access ID

3.    WSU E-mail

4.    Library Privileges.

5.    May at the discretion of the Department attend appropriate faculty meetings on academic matters, with voice but without vote.

6.    May attend all appropriate faculty social and honorary functions.

7.    Volunteer faculty may have the privileges of regular faculty at the Bookstore and ticket offices.

8.    May use University stationary for University Business.

9.    May receive appropriate university mailings to the faculty.

10. May have their names listed in the University Bulletin and in the Faculty and Staff Directory.
